Certificate course on Herbal Drugs & Cosmetic Value Addition Techniques

 

Herbal drugs gaining popularity as never before in the market and value added such preparations increase day by day.

This workshop will provide theoretical and practical exposure for new entrepreneurs to come up with quality herbal products.

In addition, Expert knowledge will be provided on the registration requirements of a herbal / cosmetic product and the general

management of a small scale herbal manufacturing unit also.

 

Comprehensive training will be given on preparation & value addition of the following;

  • Identification of raw materials, adulteration detection methods for bee honey and Ayurvedic base oils.
  • Registration requirements for herbal & cosmetic products assuring consumer safety
  • Quality control requirements for herbal / cosmetic products and necessary certifications.
  • Skin care products; creams/ lotion / herbal soap / face wash/toners
  • Oral care products; mouth wash/tooth paste
  • Hair care products; hair oil/ blended oil/hair spray/hair lotion/conditioners.
  • Virgin coconut oil and low cost value added products.
  • Herbal balm / ointment / mosquito repellent products.  
  • Herbal tea / Ayurvedic powders / syrups / Kwatha preservation techniques.
  • Processing of raw materials for herbal capsules, tablets and quality control.
  • Essential oil / distillation / Perfumery /colognes / aftershave & Air fresheners.
  • Distillation and standardization of Asamodagam spirit.
  • Demonstrations on locally made machineries.
  • Factory layout designing for herbal & cosmetic industries
  • Industrial visits to expose to manufacturing processes & machineries.

 

 Target group: Medical practitioners, SME’s, Entrepreneurs, Ayurvedic students

Duration: 10 Saturdays starting from 02nd February 2019 to 06th April 2019

Time: from 9.00am to 4.00 pm.

Investment per person: Rs. 160,000/= + TAX (Rs.187,753/=) includes theory, practical, course materials, lunch and refreshments. In addition, a participation certificate will be issued for those who complete the course.

  • 25% concession (Rs.140,815/=) shall be granted to entrepreneurs whose nominations come through VIDATHA and the ministry of Science, Technology and Research.
  • 10% concession (Rs.168,977/=) for two or more participation from industries and those who participated for previous ITI training programmes.
