Power Quality Measurements & Services

It is necessary to measure, analyze and evaluate the quality of electricity regularly in devices that consume electrical energy. This measurement is called harmonic measurement.

Using the state of art power quality analyzer available at electronics laboratory, it is possible to examine short-term voltage drops and increases, high or low voltages, short-term interruptions, current voltage waveforms, frequency changes, instability, and many other parameters by measuring.

Also, many other parameters can be measured and obtained, which include, voltage abnormalities such as voltage values, current values, instantaneous voltage drops and rises, changes in frequency, changes in current and voltage waveform, maximum and minimum values of current, voltage and power, active power, inductive and capacitive reactive power, apparent power , power factor, total current harmonic distortion value, total voltage harmonic distortion value, individual current harmonics, individual voltage harmonics and energy state.

As harmonics cause extra energy losses in generators, capacitors, transformers, electric motors, and power transmission lines, by this new service both the public & private organizations in the industry will be benefited and will have a major impact on energy saving, which effects the economy of the country.

Thermal Imaging Services

Electronics laboratory offers thermal imaging services using state-of-the-art thermal imaging cameras with wide industrial applications. Thermal images are used to analyse heating effects in electrical and mechanical systems such as motors, panel boards, and distribution systems. In addition, electrical thermal imaging supports the energy sector by detecting heat leakage in cold rooms, air-conditioned buildings, and insulation systems.

Field Strength Measurements

ETL Electronics Laboratory offers field strength measurements including magnetic field, electric field, and radio frequency (RF) strength measurements which are important in diagnosing of electromagnetic radiation leakage, design & installation of antennas and base stations in telecommunication industry and other various applications related to home appliances, power lines, electrical appliances, industrial devices, mobile/cell phones, medical equipment, etc.

 

Analytical Laboratory Instruments Maintenance & Repair Services

Electronics Laboratory offers maintenance & repair services for analytical laboratory instruments such as spectro photo meters, analytical balances, centrifuges, flame photo meters, tensile testers, pH /conductivity / DO meters, incubators and ovens, etc. Advance test equipment are used for fault diagnosis of defective instruments up to component level repairs of printed circuit boards, resulting restoration of malfunctioning expensive instruments at an affordable cost.

 

 

Also, routine maintenance services are offered for laboratories of both private & public sector departments and organizations according to customer requests. These services may be provided onsite or at ETL ITI.

Also customized test services are undertaken for testing of products and instruments for various parameters according to local & international standards as requested by the customer.

Customized Product Development

New product development is undertaken according to customer request, which is carried out by R&D work related to the product and finally leading to technology transfer to the customer for mass scale production. Under this service, Temperature Gradient Monitoring & Controlling Tunnel for Department of Agriculture, IoT based Temperature Control and Monitoring Devices, Automated Rain Gauges for MBRO, Landslide Detection Systems for MBRO have been already developed.
