Materials

Materials Laboratory provides testing services to materials for their physical and chemical parameters. Main testing material categories are cement, metals, rubber, plastic, footwear, wood and cellulose, paint and adhesives, paper and packaging. Material laboratory follows international and local standards such as ISO, SLS, BS, EN and ASTM for their testing methods. In addition to standardize services, customize services are also provided by the lab.

The accredited test services are accredited by Sri Lanka Accreditation Board (SLAB) with ISO 17025:2017.  All testing equipment are regularly checked using reference standard materials and intermediate checks to ensure the accuracy of test results.
